We live in Calgary Alberta and all of his family live in Winnipeg Manitoba. It looks like the cheapest option would be Vegas if we can figure out the cheapest time of the year to go. Also I have never been there so I don't really know where to start. I really just want everyone to have a good time and the ceremony isn't that important to me as much as the fun afterwards is. But I want my guests to feel like thy are on vacation instead of wasting money on attending a wedding.
Hi Kathy
Congratulations on your engagement and good luck with your wedding plans.
If you have decided on Las Vegas for your wedding it might be an idea if you can afford it to visit before your big day so you know that it is where you want to get married. Saying that if the partying after is an important part then Vegas is a good choice!
Las Vegas is so popular that there is no off season as it is busy all year, however hotels do make some deals between Christmas and New Years Eve plus they are also quieter in the couple of weeks after Labor Day. Basically avoid the holiday times! However if you do choose to go in these quieter times you may find that some of the clubs and the shows may be closed, so check before you book.
Here are lots of details about costs for a cheap wedding in Las Vegas.
Sounds like you are going to have some fun!
