Hello
I'm in the US army and am currently deployed to Iraq.
My fiance is wanting to get married on my 30 day leave when i get back from Iraq but currently I don't know the exact date on when I'll be back. I could be back june-september. How can we start planning and everything with no date? What could we plan? HELP thanks

Hi Timothy
Congratulations on your engagement! Tough one on planning a wedding without a date but there are still things that could be organized.
Have your fiance choose a couple of venues that she likes and have her explain your situation to them, don't be pushed into booking a date until you know for certain when you will be home.
Choose your colors and book or buy the dresses.
Choose your flowers, invitations, photographer, caterer but don't book them. This way when you have your leave dates all that needs to be done is go into your preferred suppliers and confirm a date. It would be a good idea to have a back up for each just incase.
My advice would be to keep the wedding simple and fairly small and intimate so that your fiance doesn't get too stressed trying to organize the wedding.
Hope you get your leave dates soon!
Best of luck
Suz
