How to plan a wedding - there is not just one perfect way to plan a wedding, everyone's wedding and budget is different. If you read all of the guides that are available you will find that they talk about wedding timelines and that you have to order your dress months in advance and have your venue booked at least a year before the big day. What I hate about this type of planning is that it sends brides into a state of panic and they go about ordering everything that they think they need forgetting their budget and even their own taste. If you put your rational head back on you will realise that it is entirely possible to plan your wedding in weeks or years, it just depends on how much time you have.
Instead of scarey timelines I have put together checklists for you to print out, put a line through the items that you are not having at your wedding and tick them off when you have them ordered or bought. There are also checklists of questions to ask your caterer and your florist to make sure you get the best deal possible.
Keep an eye on your budget as you plan your big day and work out what is important to you.
