Cheap Wedding Venues In Lancaster Pennsylvania

We are wanting to get married in 2012 probably July during the week. We need an officiant along with everything else for a wedding! We live in Lancaster PA and will have 30-50 people max! Are there any cheap venues to have it at around here I was hoping to have the ceremony out side and then enter in a building if possible for a small reception. We have a total of 7 children between the 2 of us with the 4 youngest still at home and the 3 oldest not able to help with costs. Both of his parents are deceased and I am not even sure both of my parents will come yet alone help in any way. So it is a do it ourselves wedding and we need help from square one. We want to get married and not spend a fortune, would love to do it by next year and for that it would have to be 2g's the max. He is unable to work and I am going to school full time working only part time to get ahead. We only are inviting his siblings friends(close) and our kids and my parents so about 30 ppl that we have thought of thus far. Thanks for any help for this area!

Hi Shanna

There are a few local wedding venues that are good value;

Landis Vally Museum has some great looking buildings, they may be a little large for what you are looking for, but they look great!

Also check out your local State parks as some of them do allow weddings to take place.

Plus look at church halls and community centers as there may be some hidden gems just round the corner!

As you are having a small wedding it would be worth thinking of having your wedding in your own backyard, that way you have more money to spend on all the extra bits!

Pennsylvania state parks

Pennsylvania state parks do allow marriages and any one of them is convenient for any kind of budget. The fact that they can accommodate hundreds of people in a great environment makes them stand out among other wedding halls and churches where the setting might seem a bit artificial.

I can understand your feelings and how you would be finding it difficult to manage the budget that is set for the wedding. Usually, it’s the wedding venues or the banquet halls that covers the majority of the budget.

Check out Hickory Bridge Farm it is in Gettysburg,PA but it is a great place and the people are wonderful! They have two wedding coordinators on site and one of them I know personally. She did my best friends wedding and everything went off with out a hitch! They are great!
